The Super Simple Service Agreement (SSSA) is designed to be simple, practical, and easy to understand. It’s the same type of agreement you come across all the time in daily life, where terms apply as soon as you use a service. Think of the way you book a flight or send a letter at the post office: there’s a proper and detailed agreement behind it, but you don’t need to physically sign anything.
The agreement is easy to start, easy to end, and works across self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed funding. It’s the same agreement we use for all our clients – private, Medicare, and NDIS – so everyone is treated fairly and consistently.
About the SSSA
- Why have you moved away from signed, fixed-term agreements?
Because they were more complicated than they needed to be and they disrupted services. The NDIA doesn’t require a signed contract, just a clear agreement. The SSSA is easier to start, easier to end, and avoids unnecessary paperwork. No one likes lock-in agreements. - Why don’t I have to sign anything?
Our agreement is accepted when you start using our services (for example, by booking or attending an appointment). This saves you paperwork and keeps things simple. It’s still a proper legal agreement – it just works on acceptance by action rather than by signature. - Is this agreement legally enforceable if it’s so “simple”?
Yes. A contract doesn’t have to be complicated to be valid. The SSSA is a legally binding service agreement, written in plain English. It just minimises unnecessary complexity and paperwork. - Will my NDIS plan or plan manager accept this kind of agreement?
Yes. The NDIA does not require a signed, fixed-term contract. They require that there’s a clear service agreement in place, and the SSSA meets those requirements. Plan managers are used to seeing different agreement formats – we’ve designed this one to be clear, compliant, and easy for everyone to work with. Many NDIS providers have already moved to this form of agreement because it just works better.
Starting, Ending, and Changing the Agreement
- Does this mean I’m locked into something long-term?
No. The SSSA has no fixed end date. You can stop at any time by letting our coordination team know. We’ve designed it to be flexible – no lock-in periods, no minimum terms.
If cancelling supports, just make sure to give at least two clear business days’ notice before any booked appointments or supports to avoid late cancellation fees.
- How do I end the SSSA if I change my mind?
Just let our coordination team know – by phone, email, or in person – that you’d like to end it. There are no forms, notice periods, or penalties. - What if I want to pause my services instead of cancelling altogether?
That’s fine. You can take a break without ending the SSSA. Just let us know and we’ll hold off until you’re ready to book again. - What happens if I change plan managers or move to self-management?
Nothing needs to be “re-signed.” The SSSA stays in place. You just let us know about the change, and we’ll adjust how we claim payment. - Can I have multiple providers under the NDIS if I’m with you?
Yes. The SSSA does not stop you from working with other providers. You are free to use as many providers as your plan and preferences allow. We want you to get the best supports you can, even if that means getting supports somewhere else (we hope not!). - How do I know you won’t change things without me noticing?
We’ll always notify when we want to change your SSSA. Changes only take effect once you’ve been told and you keep using our services – that’s taken as acceptance. And because you can end the SSSA at any time by simply telling us, you’re never locked in. If you ever somehow missed a change, or decide later that you don’t agree with it, you can simply end the agreement.
Supports, Services, and Pricing
- What if I want certainty about what supports I’ll get?
You still choose which supports you want, and we agree what we can provide. If you prefer, we can give you a written quote or a budget for a set group of supports. The SSSA doesn’t limit your ability to get things in writing – it saves us from having to hold up your supports while we chase you for a signature every time you want to change something. - How do I know the prices are fair?
We adhere to the NDIS Price Limits where they apply. For services without a published limit, we tell you the cost up front. Nothing is hidden, and you can always ask for a quote before you agree to a support. This is no different to the old way of doing agreements. - How do appointment cancellations work under this agreement?
You can cancel anytime, but please give at least two clear business days’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. This is standard in allied health and allows us time to offer your spot to someone else, since our specialised supports usually involve more coordination than a quick GP visit. The same policy applies to all our clients – private, Medicare, and NDIS. - What if my NDIS plan doesn’t cover something, or a funder doesn’t pay?
Ultimately, you are responsible for payment. Where appropriate, we claim directly from your plan or plan manager. If a funder doesn’t pay, we’ll work with you to sort it out – but it’s up to you to book supports that your plan can cover, or that you’re prepared to pay for yourself. - Do I still get reports and progress updates?
Yes. We prepare progress reports on demand or when we think necessary (usually every 6–12 months, or at the end of your plan). We’ll always ask your consent before preparing one, and we’ll explain the cost before we go ahead. - Do I have to keep track of my budget myself?
Yes. Participants (or their plan managers) are responsible for monitoring their NDIS budget. That said, we can provide quotes, track usage where we set a budget, and let you know if we see funding running low. - What if I don’t agree with a charge or an invoice?
If something doesn’t look right, contact our coordination or quality management team straight away. We’ll review it with you, fix any errors, and explain the charge. If you’re still unhappy, you can escalate a complaint to the NDIS Commission.
For Referrers and Plan Managers
- How do I know you won’t over-service or over-claim?
We only provide the supports that are requested and clinically appropriate. Every session and report is itemised in invoices or portal claims. If you ever want to check usage or costs, our coordination team can give you a breakdown. You can also set budgets with us.
More importantly, allied health practitioners are bound by a broad framework of protections: NDIA price limits and claiming rules, the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards, professional registration standards, peak body guidelines, evidence-based best practice, and strict ethical obligations. Together, these provide far stronger protection against over-servicing or over-claiming than a signature on a service agreement or quote ever could.
- How can I be sure my client is covered?
The SSSA clearly states how supports are agreed, priced, provided, and paid. It meets the NDIA’s expectations for service agreements and works across self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed funding. You can be confident your client’s arrangements are valid and transparent. By streamlining service agreements and administration we can spend more time providing supports to your clients, rather than using that time chasing you and your clients for signed copies of service agreements. - What if I need an agreement in writing for my own records?
No problem. We can provide a copy of the SSSA anytime, and if you want a written confirmation of the supports and budget set aside for you, just ask our coordination team. We’re also happy to provide quotes and estimates – but we kindly ask that you request these only when needed, as preparing them takes time away from delivering supports and can result in delays.
